The Problem
A burning in the bosom feels like confirmation. An idea that excites you feels inspired. A teaching that resonates feels true. Feeling and truth are not the same thing. The Carnal Error
Most people operate at the surface layer — the literal, temporal, carnal reading. They never excavate the spiritual architecture beneath. They make life-altering decisions based on the surface of a thing.

D&C 9 is clear: study it out in your mind first. Then ask. A burning in the bosom received before the intellectual work is an incomplete result. Not necessarily false — but unverified by the correct process.
The CP1 Error
Alma 32 describes a swelling motion at checkpoint one. Most people treat this as confirmation. It is the beginning of the experiment — not its conclusion. Twelve checkpoints must pass. Not one.
